Nagalapuram is popular pilgrimage destination of Andhra Pradesh and is situated in the Chittor district. It is hamlet and is famous for the shrine dedicated to Vedanarayana. Vedanarayana is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu and is famous for Surya Pooja, which is a major festival of the town. The festival attracts a lot of tourists and devotees from various parts of the nation. The temple was built by Krishna Devaraya of Vijayanagar, in the memory of his mother, Nagala Devi.
