National Identity cards preserve the identity of the citizens. It will help to stop the impersonation. It will stop the intruders and they will not able to enter in the country and with this the terrorism attack can be stopped. This will give the personal identification to the citizens. The National Identification cards are already used in different advanced and country and India is taking the right step in providing security to her people.
 
Unique identification number for all

Though the idea of unique identification numbers for each citizen is a good enough idea, there is doubt as to how efficient it will be in doing what it aims for. India is a large country with the second largest population. Execution of such a program and finishing it off successfully will require a lot of task and there is little hope that it will prevent terrorist to enter the subcontinent.
 
in my view this would be a revolution to our nation as every one of us will be having a national identity card with unique identification number. this would help in getting proper consensus and also help to curb crime scenes as the criminals could be easily traced out of their identity.
 
this would be a great change in india. speaking factually, not all indians have their voter id cards nor ration cards, nor any other identity proofs. i dont know how far this would succeed in covering all the people of india, but if it does then it would be a great revolution. it would lessen the burdens of making so many identidy proofs and would also lessen crimes.
 
This is a good idea, in fact many countries have national identity card and it would keep a track on the population and the people are registered to the government. This is a good idea and government should think about this direction.
 
this surely the best thing to do for the citizens. we do need some identity proof for all purpose. everytime people keep asking for ration card or PAN cards or driving licences for identity proofs.. instead of this if there is a national identity card, it would serve the purpose well. moreover it would also help in easy collection of population statistics
 
this would undoubtedly bring a substantial change in india, atleast it is a good initiative taken by the government to start allotting national identity cards with unique identification number so that indian population could be kept on track. this would also ease the process of identifying criminals of indian origin too if the biometrics is added in national identity cards.
 
I too think the same. But What I also think is that how can a poor people or middle class family will be able to get the identity card? They do not have enough time to earn their living and how come they will get identity card ? They do not have a shelter to hide themselves where will they keep their IC? More than 30 percent f people are living below poverty line and in poor conditions and will it be fair to issue card only for rich and people who can afford them. Will it not be a discrimination again to those people who are poor? We need to think about every aspect before giving the ideas! Moreover india is second most populous country so I do not think it is possible to issue an IC to every citizen.
 
Well, I think it doesn’t work at all in any way. Its better we provide mobile phones rather Identity cards to every citizen. Those who doesn’t have house they’ll sit in bus stop and charge their mobiles. Well I was just making fun till now. But actually if any concept like government will provide some benefits with that card, then there’s a chance of work out
