Laughter is considered to be a medicine for physical and mental health of a person. It costs nothing but bestows many benefits to the person who laughs. But in the present time people have become so much busy that they have apparently forgotten to laugh, their lives have become truly mechanical. There is a less space for peace, joy and laughter. We ourselves do not remember when was the last time we had a great laugh. This is absolutely not a good indication, if laughter would keep vanishing from the lives of the people like this, then that life would actually become lifeless. Watching television is still a way for the people to relax and chill out at the their homes. Thus here the mass media needs to play an important role. It should increase the number of laughter shows telecast on the different channels. Presently there are one or two typical laughter shows that are aired on the television and only for specific days. We have very fine comedians and actors (who play funny characters) in our Indian television who can bring smiles and can make people hold their tummies while laughing hard. These people are actually blessings who are trying to bring happiness and joy into people's lives. we all love laughing on jokes, and watching laughter shows enable us to relax and the mind to to forget the fuss of the professional world for few minutes or hours.

Comedy nights with kapil is doing a very good job . I like the show, But the sad part is the actors are made to embarrass a lot......

Coming from one of the greatest comedians of all times, Charlie Chaplin reflected the power in the art of comedy with his simple line,
“A day without laughter is a day wasted.”

Laughter has been scientifically proven towards an immunity fillip, relaxation of body and the mind. In our times of depression and intolerance, comedy could be the best pedagogue of diverse perspective and out-of-the-box thoughts. With the current socio-political scenario of the World, we humans can truly explore the scopes of humanity if we give ourselves the benefit of breathing fresh. Yes, that’s what comedy can do.
