Nimar utsav is an annual festival celebrated in the state of Madhya Pradesh. It is a 3 days festival, which is held in the month of November in the town of Maheshwar, situated in the state of Madhya Pradesh. This is a cultural festival that displays the ancient and rich cultural heritage of the state.

Nimar Utsav is one the major festivals of the state of Madhya Pradesh, which is celebrated in a small town Maheshwar, positioned on the banks of the holy river Narmada. This town was once the capital of the great Holkar Queen Devi Ahilya. It is also well known for its pilgrim sites and sarees. Nimar Utsav is an annual event held in the month of November for three days, which starts on the eve of the holy Kartik Purnima that falls in the month of Kartik of the Hindu calendar. It is a cultural show with music, dance, drama, boating and canoeing. This festival is organised by the state government of Madhya Pradesh and is celebrated on the banks of the holy river Narmada with great zest. This festival also attracts a horde of tourists from all over the World, which gives a boost to the tourism of the state.
