I think travel is not only about enjoying the lengths and breadths of a country but find oneself while exploring the known and the unknown. India, till today, can boast of places which are potential of tourist attraction but so many are still unknown to Indians themselves. Travel-gasm to me is the feeling that comes after experiencing the depths of a place that nobody else could tell you the story of.

With this, I will like to know from other friends of mine here about the offbeat places in India they remember about.

West Bengal is a hub of tourism, as we all already know. Being a Bong myself, I've tried exploring places as much as possible during my stay in West Bengal and my fetish includes traversing through the unknown. Such is a place known as Baranti, a small tribal Santhali village which is an envy for metro people for its exquisite simplicity and tranquillity. This place fits in everyone who appreciates the peace received in the lap of nature. A village enveloped in green lush, big lakes, dams and chain of mountains, it is perceived as paradise on Earth.

I think the virtue of the place is held by the truthfulness and intelligibility of the residents of Baranti which makes it a must-visit for vagabonds.

Whenever we talk about the beach destinations in India, Goa is the first word striking to our minds; but this Indian land has provided us with the coastal land of Odisha which will make one fantasize in the magical waves of it’s beaches. Yes, there are around ten shorelines in Odisha. Starting from the Rushikulya, Astarang, Bhitarkanika, Chandipur, Ramchandi, Gopalpur, Paradeep, Puri, Beleswar and Balighai beaches; which are one of the most beautiful and serene seashores that will make you feel like heavenly. A hub for all the nature and landscape lovers, these will surely delight you beyond limit. Experiencing the majestic sunrise and sunsets from these landing places can be the most soothing recreation provided to every human soul.

According to me khajjar is still one of the most unexplored destination in bharat. It is known as mini Switzerland in India and Gulmarg of indian state of Himachal pradesh. Some of the amazingly beautiful places in khajjar are : Nag temple, khajjar lake , trekking routes and kalatop wildlife sanctuary etc. Now what are you waiting for ? Book your tickets!
