Orang National Park is well known tourist destination of Assam and is situated in the districts of Darrang & Sonitpur. The National Park is well known for tigers and one-horned rhinoceros. The National park is situated in the floodplain and this makes the park affluent in flora and fauna. The National park is one of the coveted destinations of tourist visiting Assam. The place is situated on the northern bank of the mighty River Brahmaputra and the river is the reason for the alluvial and fertile soil of the place. Animals like tiger, leopard, sambar and one-horned rhinoceros are more popularly sighted here and it is also an adobe of birds like lesser adjutant stork, pintail duck and spot billed pelican.
