Pavagadh is a popular hill station as well as a major pilgrimage center situated in the state of Gujarat. The hill station is also a well-known heritage destination and is also declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site for the Pavagadh-Champaner Archaeological Park. The city falls in the Panchmahal district of Gujarat. The city is known for the Mahakali Temple, which is visited by thousands of pilgrims from all over the nation and is one of the Shakti Piths. Pavagadh Hill is considered one of the oldest rock formations in India and this attracts a lot of archeologists fromm all over the World.
