Located above the town of Dharamsala in the Himachal Pradesh region of India, McLeod Ganj is abode of Dalai Lama and the exiled Tibetan government. When most travelers say Dharamsala, they are probably referring to the tourist section of Upper Dharamsala known as McLeod Ganj. Set into the hillsides of a gorgeous green valley, Mcleod Ganj is one of the most popular destinations in Himachal Pradesh . Some of the places to visit in McLeod Ganj are: Namgyal Monastery, Tsuglagkhang, Kalachakra Temple, Bhagsunath Temple, Bhagsu Waterfall and Regional Mountaineering Centre.
 
I have been to McLeod Ganj and the place is really mesmerizing with its innate beauty and the place provides peace of mind as well as the best place for relaxation. Triund in McLeod Ganj is another beautiful place to visit and its beauty attracts a horde of foreign tourists. It is situated 9kms away from the main town and best way to go is to trek.
