My collection of Republic Day India Poems to express my feelings for India
on the occasion of one of the most important national festivals in India.

Proud to be Indian
We Indians are very proud to celebrate Republic day
Protected by soldiers in the border who never sway
Hear me, I just have few things to say
Reading this you may decide your own way
Over the years that has past
’26th Jan is just another holiday’, I thought
With the very recent wisdom I have got
I salute the leaders who had fought
I hear the media ‘flash news’ and end up in tear
‘Will there be more news on bomb blasts?’, I fear
Horrible living in the midst of terrorism and war
Is this what the great Mahatma dreamt for?
Why blame the Politicians and Government who don’t repent
Hey! As an individual I wont relent
For the election freebies and compliments they recommend
I shall say ‘NO’ and will not bend
Let’s not watch the cricketer’s zeroes
And stay away from the Corruption bureaus
Our great soldiers have nothing but only sorrows
Let us bow our heads for those real life heroes
Pay your tax, be very brave, take the wise decision today
Don’t you wish your grand children to happily play?
We Indians are very proud to celebrate Republic day
Protected by soldiers in the border who never sway.
Let My Country Awake
Where the mind is without fear
and the head is held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been
broken up into fragments by
narrow domestic walls;
Where the words come out from
the depth of truth;
Where tireless striving stretches
its arms towards perfection;
Where the clear stream of reason
has not lost its way into the dreary
desert sand of dead habit;
Where the mind is led forward by thee
into ever-widening thought and action -
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father,
let my country awake.
Let's Make India a Strong Nation
Unfurl the tricolor flag, Indians!
And hoist it high upon the mast;
And let it move in freedom’s wind;
And make the country, Indians, proud!
Salute the national flag, Indians!
And sing the song of freedom’s love!
Remember how freedom was won
By Fighters’ Struggle, sacrifice!
Pray for the lives lost in the fight
And emulate their examples;
Learn to be patriotic more,
And do your duty with fervor.
Take oath to serve our motherland;
Bharat is home of Indians;
We love its varied heritage;
All Indians are our fellowmen!
Let’s foster love, peace, harmony;
Let’s make the country better still;
Let’s unite against terrorism;
Let’s make India, a nation strong!
Jai Hind! Jai Bharat!
Happy Republic Day
Reverence to my motherland
Eveready to lend a helping hand
Patriotism rekindled anew
Ultimate heaven, so very true
Bapu’s land always for peace
Lasting traits are all these
I cannot forget those who died
Can only take so much pride
Died so that we cud live
And now we all must give
Yeomen service every day
Happy Republic Day
Celebrate Republic Day but
Never Forget Sacrifices
Let's celebrate Republic Day
With pomp and splendour
With brothers and sisters
But never forget
To remember
Remember the Freedom struggle
Remember the sacrifices of soldiers
The great freedom fighters
Remember the sacrifices of leaders
The great sons of the soil
Who died for the country
Fighting together
To attain freedom
Let's pay homage from heart's bottom
To the great dedicated sons
Who laid their lives into flame
Without name and fame
For the mother land
Joining hand in hand
With fellow citizens
Shining Star
Twinkle Twinkle the world’s “shining” star
Look where u were and where u are…
Why has the brightness dulled as such?
A year that ravaged and hurt you so much?
What has angered and embittered your every son
Is the dastardly act of the coward’s gun….
The naked deceit of the professed “true” one
Has your image of success of years…undone
But why does the star shine bright no more?
Where did your strength your conviction go?
Look up and soar into the sky
Shine again and rise very high…
The shattered sparkle don’t bemoan
We are all with you… you are not alone…
Shine again my little star
We need to go very far,
we have to go very far!
Happy Republic Day !
