Simoga is a district of Karnataka, which is popular for its picturesque. The place is a major rice producer of the state and is also known as ‘Rice Bowl’ of Karnataka. The rivers Sharavathi, Varada, Tungabhadra and Kumudavathi flows by the city of Simoga which is a major city of the district and these rivers makes the land fertile and prefect for paddy fields. This is a heritage destination of India for its rich historical background as this place was ruled by the great Indian dynasties of the Chalukyas, Gangas, Kadambas, Rashtrakutas, Hoysals, Keladi Nayakas, Vijayanagar Kings and Mysore Maharajas. The place is also well known for the Jog Falls, which is the highest waterfalls of India.
