Should begging be criminalized in India?

Begging is the most heinous crime. Begging has developed as an industry in India and one of the easiest way to earn livelihood. Begging should definitely be criminalized in India. There should be law enacted against begging and given severe and stringent punishment if any one is seen begging and even the person who is giving money to a beggar should be punished. People should be encouraged to work for their living instead of showing them the way to earn easy money.

Definitely, begging should be criminalized in India. Despite of Government providing the beggars with various opportunities for livelihood as well as place for accommodation, these beggars are still to be seen on the roads of India. They are so used to getting easy money and sympathy of the people that they do not want to change their lives. Beggars have become a curse for the nation and is hampering in the growth and progress. Laws should be enacted and severe punishment should be given to anyone who is seen begging.
