Maternal death is defined as demise of women while pregnant or within 42 days of termination of pregnancy from any reason linked to or forced by pregnancy or its administration. The maternal mortality ratio is maternal death per 100,000 live births in one year. Unswerving approximation of maternal mortality in India are not accessible. WHO ballpark figure show that out of the 529,000 maternal deaths worldwide each year, 136,000(25.7%) are put in by India. It is a matter of concern and government ought to take steps for improving the sate of maternal health. Please provide your views regarding it.
 
Maternal death or death during pregnant or death while delivery is increasing in India and the report that states 136,000 deaths happen in India every year. It is seriously a matter that needs to be taken seriously by the Government and should provide better maternity care facilities in hospitals. This issue can also be tackled by creating awareness regarding maternity care.
