Swacchta Abhiyaan was initiated with much of enthusiasm and excitement, everyone may it be a younger or adult took part in the initiation with high spirits. And why not, we all want to live in a clean and hygienic country and being a responsible citizen, it is always our duty to perceive the country as a one big home that must be kept clean and healthy for each one of us. But as the days gone by the excitement for this Abhiyaan got slowed down and the menace has become again visible.
There are still many places left behind where Swacchta Abhiyaan has not been even implemented there are still chuckhole down the roads, garbage bags on the roadsides or not been picked up timely, drainage problem, sanitation problems, people still spitting, peeing on walls, littering craps on roads. And you are feeling that every effort goes in vain in India, feeling pissed off. Then you should make use of the App launched in September 2014 by an ordinary citizen of India named Mahek Shah. He has constructed this App as his supportive endeavour in the Swacchta Abhiyaan.
This App can be used very easily by the ordinary citizens in order to report about civic problems to the municipals and government authorities and later the issues are brought to the direction concern of the Prime Minister himself. This App allows the person to click pictures related to their issues and they are sent to the Prime Minister’s Office via Twitter. So far, hundreds of reports have been made to the Prime Minister related to civic problems out of which 180 reports were truly genuine 15 issues have already been resolved by the municipal and government authorities.
