All the ways applied for hair removal does have both advantages and disadvantages, nevertheless besides the advantage of getting a hair free skin, I am stressing upon the disadvantages of those ways. Have a look:

Shaving

Shaving of hair with the razor is a most common ways of hair removal but it is also hazardous for the skin as shaving may cause a bacterial infection called Folliculitis, it can also cause the ingrown hair to become painful and uneven in appearance.

Waxing

it is the most painful ways for removing the hair and it is also detrimental for the people with sensitive skin. The chemicals mixed in the wax may cause irritation and pimples on the sensitive skin. Waxing is a process that requires perfection if not done by an expert it might cause bruises, and burn on the skin.

Epilators

These are electronic devices which uproot the hair from the roots but they might leave the skin with red rashes and sometimes even cuts. These devices make the skin hard and are themselves very harsh on the skin surface chances are there that they might break the hair at skin surface.

Depilatories

Unlike waxing and sugaring this way might cause severe dryness, peeling, inflammation, redness and blister in the skin.

Sugaring

In sugaring the hair are removed with a mixture made up of sugar and lemon juice, although it doesn’t cause redness or irritation but it does have the tendency to cause infection and ingrown hair.

Laser

However this is supposed to be a permanent way of hair removal but it also does have a side effects like, scabbing, blistering and even change in the texture of the skin.

Electrolysis

It is also a permanent way of hair removal but still it might cause infections if the needles of the devices are not hygienic and sterilized.

Threading

The only way of hair removal that is chemical free but the process it involves is painful for some and extremely painful for few. Ingrown hair are often visible even after threading and sensitive skin may develop red rashes, little swelling sometimes.
