Needless to mention that with the advent of technology in the day to day lives of the people, ‘connectivity’ and ‘accessibility’ have been increased greatly. And one biggest example of this; is the accessibility of mobile phones among the Indians. Today mobile phones have become a handy accessory, not even the purpose but the utility of the mobile phones has been changed. There was a time when the phone was used to connect with the people sitting miles away or so but with the introduction of mobile phones, it has not only become easy to connect with the people but it is also fulfilling many other purposes at the same time.

Mobile phones have shown one of the finest glimpse of technological advancement in the last few years. The accessibility has become enormous and much easier. And this increased approachability for the mobile phones, has empowered the Indians in many ways. With the better telecom policies and plans now each and every person can avail mobile phones. Right from the rickshaw wala, autorickshaw drivers to house maids owns mobile phones. Surprisingly I once encountered a beggar who was talking over a mobile phone, that instance made me think deeply and somewhere down in my heart made me feel good about the technological empowerment of the Indians in at least some way.

Numerous of mobile phones are purchased and allotted everyday. This surely shows that connectivity among each one of us has become uncomplicated. Even an illiterate person knows how to handle a mobile phone, one feels essential to understand the functions of the phone in order to use it well. Usage of mobile phone is indeed empowering the Indians no matter to what class, section, group or community they belong to. This is something that has gone above all the criteria of being literate or illiterate. it has surely empowered the people in the way of their thinking, handling of technical gadgets and improvement of their life standards.
