The Tuition Mania in the youngsters

There was a time when the students were very much serious and keen towards self-study and doing revision of their work. But for the last couple of years a new trend has been emerging among them and that is the trend of taking tuition for studies. Students have become highly dependent upon tuition classes and eventually they show carelessness in school. They have developed the mentality of relying too much on the tuition while they take the school hours very leniently and as the time for fun. They do not pay much attention to studies being done in the school and neither towards their teachers. All they want to enjoy, play and gossip with friends in the school and think they will revise and complete their study course in the tuition classes. Even some parents also support and encourage their children for tuition because they tend to feel that the faculty of the school is inefficient to teach the students properly hence extra help of tuition must be given to the children. Here in tuition classes also, they do not do any wonder half of the hour is taken by the scoldings of the tuition teacher and half of the time is taken is solving the few of the study problems.

The number of students in the tuition classes is also rapidly increasing as if everyone has begun to feel that teachers in the school are doing nothing except pressurizing the children for studying hard. But it is also a fact that good and sincere students can study in the worst conditions, first of all they do not seek any other help such as tuition and somehow if they do, then they take it very seriously. They stay regular and attentive towards what the teacher is teaching in the classroom and if has any problem then simply asks the teacher in order to clarify the issue. It's all about paying a little more attention and taking the things seriously otherwise life gives much of time to waste it anyway.

Well we all know that education is most important for each and every citizen of the country. So parents now-a-days are concerned a lot for their children for which they don’t leave any stones unturned to provide the best education to them. Although tuition is an option to achieve good marks in subjects but it’s not the only option to achieve highest mark in class. I think apart from private coaching, self study impacts a lot to develop self confidence and present perfectly in the exam. Self study helps to broaden your thinking level. It gives a great opportunity to develop a good work ethic. In this process students tend to build a sense of responsibility and become more responsible for his/her career and future.

Tuition was originated with the concept of helping those students who are not able to cope up just with the school teachings. But later on, with the initialization of “dual working parents” concept, parents could not afford sufficient time for their child’s education and hence opted for tutoring them. But now the concept is being misinterpreted. It no longer belongs to the caliber of the student rather on the trend that is going on. If all the students are going for a tuition, my ward must attend it too; or else he might be lagging in this fast running world. The need of hour has been compromised by the existing trend. Moreover, teachers have made it mandatory rather than a choice on part of some students; which is troublesome for them.
