Tungnath being one of the Panch Kedar is a popular pilgrimage destination of India and is situated in the state of Uttarakhand. It is a valley formed by the rivers Madakini and Alaknanda and lies at an altitude of 3,680 metres above the sea level. The valley is also known as 'Lord of Peaks'. It is one of the ancient temples, which is about 1000 years old. The Tunganath Temple was built by the Pandavas and is one of the highest temples in the world. There are several other temples in the region and Akash Ganga Waterfalls is another major attraction of this region.
