Built during the 18[SUP]th[/SUP] century by the Prime Minister of Mewar, Bagore Ki Haveli is another architectural marvel of Udaipur. It is situated on the littoral of Lake Pichola, at Gangaur Ghat and offers a glimpse of the royal lifestyle with its more than 100 rooms that has frescoes and fine mirror work, terraces and courtyards. Today, it has been transformed into a museum, which showcases Royal paintings, costumes of the royal kings, personal items, and traditional Rajasthani arts and crafts. It also features a puppet gallery, and turban collection with the world's biggest turban. The Haveli remains open form 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and folk dance performance as well as puppet show is organized on a daily basis which lures the tourists.
Ambrai Ghat
A popular sightseeing spot for tourists in Udaipur is the Ambrai Ghat. Famous for its panoramic beauty, this place situated opposite the City Palace and also faces the Lake Palace hotel. Between 1993 and 1994, the water from the lake dried up however, in 2005 to 2006; the lake recuperated its water.
