Indian economy has been growing for the past 15 years and so has been the population, especially the middle class. It was in 1975 when Integrated Child Development Scheme was devised to address the problem of undernutrition amongst the infants and children. The undernutrition contributes to 22% of the disease burden. The ICDS scheme though launched long back and has had amendments, has various discrepancies. There are several other schemes as well which addresses the issue of malnutrition, and yet we have not solved the issue of undernutrition. What do you think can be done from a citizen's perspective and government's perspective?
