Vishakhpatnam is known as The Jewel of the East Coast and is a port town situated in Andhra Pradesh. It is the second largest city in Andhra Pradesh. The city is developing and emerging as an important industrial city. This is an ancient city of India and this is evident from its mention in the epics Ramayana and Mahabharata. The place was also a prominent place for Buddhism in the earlier times. The city is famous for its beaches as well which attracts a lot of tourist. The people of this city speaks Telegu. Chandanotsavam and Visakha Utsav is a famous festival of the place which are celebrated with huge pomp and show. Apart from the beaches, the othertourist attractions are the War Memorial, Borra caves, the Matsyadarshini Aquarium, Simhachalam, Ross Hill, Jagadamba Centre, Kailasagiri, the Submarine Museum, Naval Museum, Bojjana Konda and the Buddhist remains.
