Vythri is situated at an altitude of 2,600 feet above sea level and offers beautiful landscape. It is a hill station located in the Wayanad District of Kerala. The hill station is well known for its scenic beauty and spice plantation. The beauty of the place can be described with rocky hills, water streams, tropical rain forest and waterfall and this beauty attracts a lot of tourists from all over. This is one of the most coveted destination for both nature lovers and adventure lovers. This is an ancient village and this evident from the pictures and pictorial writings found on the walls of Ampukuthimala caves. The tropical rain forest of the region attracts a lot of adventure lovers and this forest is also rich in flora and fauna. The village is famous for spice plantation like cardamom and pepper and is also affluent in rubber, tea and coffee. The hill station is popular for adventure activities which include trekking, mountaineering, rock climbing and hiking.
