Contradictory Picture of Railway Stations & Airports

Our eyes get bigger and foots get to slip over the floor when we enter the domestic/International Airport but our nose gets squeezed and eyes do not really wish to see what they actually see when we enter railway stations and wait on the platforms. It always leaves me wondering why there is so much of difference maintained in the infrastucutral cleanliness and maintenance between the two important sources for travelling? The scene of Indian railway stations is quite disappointing; always too much crowded, sanitation and hygiene provisions are not in a good state, passengers are scattered and lying down here and there, whereas waiting rooms are already occupied with the passengers who have to travel through first class/Air conditioned trains. Platforms are dirty, and railway tracks are bedraggled. Numerous of local people and outsiders travel daily through railways likewise the issues of cleanliness and maintenance of railway stations have also become a daily affair. On the contrary the Airports are fully maintained, there is not even a single glance of crap or dirt, entering into the airport gives the feeling of getting into a luxurious place. And in fact, they are extra cleaned-up but why there is such a big difference in both of these mediums of travelling? Does having so much of maintenance at the airports mean that the airport belongs to the international/business class/prestigious people/or in precise those who can afford the expenses and fares of travelling in areoplane?

Initiatives for the Maintainance of Indian Railway Stations

There is a deliberate need to maintain the infrastrcture of the Indian railways, cleanliness, sanitation and enviornmental neatness should not only be limited and provided only to those who can afford big expenses. Being the citizens of the country we all deserve safe and clean modes and mediums of travelling. And here we all should understand that it is also our responsiblitiy and duty to keep our outside environment clean and neat. Just becuase no one scolds and punishes or stops us from dropping craps on the railways tracks or from spreading filth at the stations; doesn't mean that it has become our right to do the same. It is somewhere connected with our civic senses as well. Educated people at least do understand such things. No one can even dare to pollute the airports because it would be penalised. Besides, this the infrastructral changes and cleanliness should be maintained by the ministeries of Indian Railways. Rules should be mandatory and security and supervision should be assured to the people. And on the personal front, We all should remember that we are also responsible for keeping our outer atmosphere clean and neat. If we are conscious about it no matter whether it is a railway station or the airport, we would act under our civic senses.
