Why women celebrate Karwa Chauth ?

Surely, nobody really believes anymore that fasting can elongate husband's life by even a day.

But still, thousands of young Indian women also celebrate this festival every year. Even the educated ones do! And no one is forcing them to. In fact, many young husbands also join their wives in this festival-fasting these days.

Why do you think young, modern and educated India celebrates this festival?
 
It may not increas the life of husband
but it will really increase the love bond b/w Husband and wife.These festival shows the respect and love of wife to husband and as long as these are there our country will have long relationship and family bonds :)
