Anjad is situated in the Narmada valley and is a pilgrimage destination of Madhya Pradesh. It is a town in the Barwani District and is well known for its cotton factory. The town is a religious destination for the people in the state as it houses quite a few ancient temples. The town is also attracts the tourists for the presence of some historical monuments and these monuments offers a view of the Afghan style architecture. The town houses the Nagari Mata Temple, which is an ancient temple of the town and this attracts a lot of tourists from all over the nation. Apart from this temple Gayatri Temple, Saibaba Temple, The Pancha Mukhi Hanuman Temple, Jahaz Mahal, Alamgir, Jehangir Gate, Rampol Darwaza, Bhangi and Tarapur Gate manages to grab the attention of the tourists.
