Arani is a town in the state of Tamil Nadu and is renowned for housing 278 modern rice mills. The town is situtaed on the bank of River Kamandala Naaga in the Tiruvanamalai District. The town was under the rule of several dynasties and this is evident from the historical accounts of the town. The town is also renowned for celebrating festivals with grandeur and has religious significance.
