Ayodhya is situated on the bank of River Saryu and is a major pilgrimage destination in India. It is situated in the state of Uttar Pradesh and is an ancient town of India. The place is famous as it was the birth place of Lord Ram and this makes it a pilgrimage destination. Ayodhya has a lot of controversies attached to it which is realted to the past history. Some of the major places to visit here include Kanak Bhavan, Tulsi Smarak Bhawan, The Hanuman Garhi, The Ramkatha Museum etc.
