Bharatpur is a prominent and the most coveted tourist destination of Rajasthan and has folklore behind the name of the town. Bharatpur is covered by thick forest and is this makes one of the most popular wild life destinations for the jungle lovers. The place is famous place for birdwatching and one of the favorite destination of birdwatchers. Bharatpur has been recognized as bird reserve as it is an adobe of the rare avian species and has also been declared as World Heritage by UNESCo. Like the other places of Rajasthan, Bhartpur also possess some historical monuments apart from the National park. Some of these include Jawahar Burj, Fateh Burj, Mahal Khas, Kamra Mahal, Purana Mahal, Moti Mahal, Vijay Stambha and Nehru Park are just to name a few.
