Bishnupur is a town situated in the Bankura district of West Bengal and is a well known heritage destination of India. The town is renowned for its temples built during the reign of Malla dynasty and also for its rich culture and heritage. The town of Bishnupur has been ruled by several rulers but the Malla dynasty ruled the town for over 5 centuries and the unique terracotta temples and sculptures grabs the attention of the tourists from all over the World. Apart from the art and music, the town is also famous for the Baluchari sarees made from tussar silk and also for terracotta sculpture and handicrafts. Some of the major tourist places in the town includeJorbangla temple, Nandalal temple, Shyamrai temple, Madanmohan temple, Krishna-Balaram temple, Rasmancha, Dalmadal Caman, Pathar Darja, Lalbandh, etc.
