The Union Cabinet has recently cleared a proposal of purchase of Missiles worth over 8,000 crores INR. This includes the procurement of BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles of over 6,000 crores, the cost which also includes the integration of these missiles with the Su-30MKI of IAF. Along with BrahMos, 10,000 Invar missiles would also be procured from Russia, which are used in T-90 tanks. India would also avail license of producing 15,000 missiles at Bharat Dynamics Ltd (BDL).
