Calculating BSNL usage by LAN status

Is it possible to calculate the BSNL usage using LAN status in Network Connections?

If you go to Control Panel -> Network Connections -> Right click on LAN -> Status. You can see in Activity frame, Packets "Sent" and "Received"

Can it be directly attributed to the BSNL usage? I mean can I sum them up and divide by 1024 to calculate the Kilo bytes that I used?

If you are connected only to BSNL then Yes u can
If u are also connected with some other networks like locals etc then no.In this case u can use BSNL's user portal which will show ur statistics .

yes i think you can sum them up and use it to calculate your internet usage but then this does not give you accurate result. it is better if you visit bsnl usage portal and see your usage everyday as only that can give you confirmed result of actual usage which will be billed.

previously i used to use this way of estimating my BSNL usage as the internet connections icon in the tray bar shows the transferred data in the existing LAN connection. but since BSNL is now showing the data usage in its portal website, i no longer use this. however this may be used to calculate the approximate figures of usage.
