Once again the diesel price goes up by Rs5 per liter which excludes value added taxes will be in effect from Friday midnight. The constant hike in diesel price has brought in adverse effect on the economy of the nation as it leads to price rise of other essential commodities like food items etc as well as makes transportation costlier. In last two years, the price of diesel has been raised twice. There seems to be no affect on the Government even if the allies and the opposition parties are protesting against it. Nevertheless, the Prime Minister has also decided to cut down the excise duty on petrol by Rs. 5.50 a litre from Rs. 14.78, adjusting the recent hike in international crude prices, which have touched $114 per barrel.
My question is how will the common man deal with the constant price rise?
