Here, male members consider themselves to be superior to that of women and in order to prove their masculinity, they end up doing such types of crimes. Yes. I totally agree with Seema Parihaar. It is important for every individual to have a positive mindset. I feel that the best way to decrease the number of sexual assault cases in our country is to change the mindset of people in the society. If once there is a change in mindset of this patriarchal society (as parihaar said) there is lot that can change and help the society to become a safer place for women.
I agree that a drastic change in the mindset of people is required in order to prevent rapes. The Indian society being a patriarchal one, male dominance exist in our society, which is giving rise to these issues. In order to prove their masculinity, they indulge in such hideous crimes. With a change in the mindset of people and making them understand that everyone is equal, these crimes against women can be stopped or rather completely eliminated.
Our society needs to be changed if we want to prevent crimes like rapes, dowry, child marriage, honor killing, etc. However, for these change to come, it is very important to change the mindset of the people drastically. People should understand that there is no difference between a male child and a female child and the boys should be taught to respect women if we actually want these crimes to stop forever.

A drastic change in the mindset of the people can bring about social change, which is the need of the hour. India have become a place of various kinds of crimes of which, rape is a part. Only with the change in the mindset of people, these crime can be stopped or rather eradicated. People should stop differentiating between male and female and this will help in preventing the increasing number of rapes in our society.

The fundamental need of the time is to curb and diminish gender inequality. for it is this patriarchal curse that seeds violence against women, licensing men as the superior being, empowered to dominate and tame the "weaker beings" women.
