eCommerce has certainly changed the way of doing business in India. However we cannot rely on this particular mode of doing business and delivering the product in all the cases. But yes, this model works great where customer involvement is low. I believe this has also opened new avenues for budding entrepreneurs in India and will provide ample employment opportunities to employable people in India.
