Eliminate communalism in India

For a prosperous India , we must have to tackle terrorism. the internal forces as well as the external communal forces that have been creating communal tension in India must be controlled.

There is not even a single riot in West Bengal since 1964. Even the riot that occurred after the demolition of Babri Masjid had no impact on Wes Bengal. Earlier, West Bengal used to be the nucleus of communal riots. Be it the Direct Action Day or the other incidents of communal violence after the partition, West Bengal witnessed the major tragedies.

But how was the magic impact possible?

How the state government established communal harmony? The state government led by Jyoti Basu abolished Communalism from the minds of the people. People were taught to see each other as human beings not as Hindu or Muslims. Communal institutions were controlled. Communalism was abolished at the grass root level. And consequently West Bengal experienced an era of communal peace and harmony.

Can we do the same in rest of India ? If it is possible in West Bengal , why not in the other states? I invite Proud Indians to put forward their views.

Jyoti Basu himself is a great individual and he had taken a huge responsibility in the removal of communalism from the minds of the people. It took a long time to fulfill the result. In India if this have to be done many people should take responsibility themselves as for any individual its not possible to make any fruitful result for the whole country.

Integrate the nation

The communist party has worked wonders in West Bengal under the Late Jyoti Basu to foster communal harmony. The recent naxal attacks need such a countrywide phenomenon to happen. If we want to tackle terrorism we have to unite the nation from within and it will not be achieved until the forces like naxalites work. Terrorism is to be removed from the grass root level.

Communalism in India today has brought major differences between different religions and castes. This difference is creating problem among the country and is perishing the unity for which India is well known. Political parties stimulate these differences in order to increase their vote bank. We as the citizen of India should understand the basic principle, that we all are first Indian and this is the prime factor for any country to be great. It’s better if we can stop reacting to these communal differences and unite as one for a better tomorrow.

Communalism is like and epidemic that is spreading in India, creating differences among the citizens of the nation. It is a major hindrance to the unity and integrity of the country which needs to be uprooted completely from the nation. Communalism that prevails today is created by the politicians for their vote banks and have divided the whole society. It can be eliminated if the citizens become aware of the affects of communalism and is nothing but creating division among the people as well as destroying the basic essence of promoting Secularism which is the actual motto of India.

India is a secular country and communalism is a threat to secularism. Communalism is when a particular religious or sub-religious group tries to promote its own interests at the expense of others. It discriminates on the basis on religion. It needs to be eliminated from the society as it creates barrier among the people.

Communalism is like a cancer which is capable of breaking the vast nation into pieces and thus it needs to be eliminated from India and it can only be done by awakening the feeling of Nationalism in the hearts of every Indian. Nationalism is the sole way to eliminate communalism from India and keep India united as a single nation.
