Fav. Indian Recipes???

Hii.. I am new to this community and I decided that my first post be about Indian foods which are unique, full of variety and zest. So guys, whats you fav Indian dish?
 
Yes I tried a new snack Misal Pav seeing from net.
All my family members liked it.I want to share the recipe of that now.
Ingrediants:

Onion-4
Tomato-1
Misal or farsan packet
Lemon
Masala(3cloves,5 black pepper,some cinnamon)
Dry coconut grinded(3 spoons)
Red chilli -1
Redchilli powder(1 spoon)
Salt(According to our taste)

Grind red chilli and masala in mixer,fry coconut in small flame till redbrown,Chop 2 onions and fry it by adding 2 spoons of oil till red brown and add all these to the mixer till finely grind by adding tomota and water.
Keep pan add 6 spoons of oil and pour this mixture keep in medium flame till oil comes up and pour water till it becomes light like a sambar.Add salt,mirchi powder keep till bubble comes off the stove.Serve by adding onions finely chopped,misal,pav and lemon.
 
Maida Biscuits

1cup Maida
1/4 sugar
1/4 oil
some water
Grind sugar mix well by heating oil,and water like chapati atta. Spread it very thinly and cut it into required shapes.Pour oil in a pan and heat it to some extent and fry these till it get nice color but not too red.
 
Welcome to the community! i love Chole Bhature. The dish is served with a curry of chickpeas and a large fluffy deep fried bhatura which is made out of dough containing flour and curd. The dish is famous in north India, however one can avail at any average restaurant across India. I hope more Proud Indians share their favorite dishes here!
 
Jeera Rice :

Basmati Rice -1 glass
water-2.5 glasses
oil-5 spoons
Jeera 2 spoons
Garlic- 12 cloves
salt-1spoon(according to taste)
Pepper powder- 1/2 spoon(according to taste)
Chilly sauce - If needed

Cook the rice,keep the pan and add oil,jeera, garlic cloves fry well and mix it with rice adding pepper powder,salt .Chilli sauce adds extra taste.
 
I love pav bhaji and here is the recipe below:

Ingredients

Large potatoes, diced - 2 large
Shelled Peas - ½ cup
Capsicum, finely chopped - 1 large
Carrot (grated) - 1 large
Onions - 2 medium sized, finely chopped
Tomatoes - 2 medium sized, grated
Readymade tomato puree - 6 tbsp
Chopped green chillies - 3-4
Garlic paste - 1 tsp
Ginger paste - 1 tsp
Pav bhaji masala powder - 2 tsp
Garam masala powder - ½ tsp
Chilli powder - ¼ tsp
Coriander leaves, chopped - ½ cup
Butter - 4-5 tsp
Water - ¾ to 1 cup
Pavs - 4 (special brad rolls)
Salt to taste

Directions

For the bhaji, cook the potatoes and peas together. Mesh the potatoes after removing from fire.

Preheat a pan, add 3 tsps of butter, onions, green chillies, capsicum and garlic paste. Saute on low heat till the onion turn light pink. Stir in the ginger paste. Add the meshed potatoes, peas and grated carrot and fry well. Sprinkle the pav bhaji masala, chilly powder and garam masala poweder. Mix thoroughly. Add the grated tomatoes, increase to medium heat and fry for a few minutes. Pour in the tomato puree and add salt to taste. Fry a little, add water and simmer. Sprinkle with coriander leaves and remove from heat. Serve with toasted pavs

To toast the pavs cut each into half and butter them sparingly. Preheat a frying pan on a medium heat and put in the halves, buttered side down. Cover and toast lightly. Serve hot with bhaji.
