What are the best ways for a country to earn international esteem and awe among other nations in the worldwide political arena? On the word of strategic experts, to have the same a country must have a sound economic basis and foreign policy. What is the condition of India then? There is hardly any doubt that Indian economy happens to be one of the fastest growing ones across the globe but there is a great question. Is her foreign policy creditable? Well, opinions do vary and as per the majority of them, it is exceedingly feeble and is not apposite for a vast regional power like India.The problem remains in the weak political leadership of the country and its desire to appear as the self-claimed peacemaker in this fast changing global scenario.

According to me India has a very confused foreign policy because of weak and Spineless politicians.

It must also be stated that no change in the Indian foreign policy can be made so easily as it has always considered the notion of neighborhood as one of extending concentrical circles, in the region of a central axis of historical and cultural commonalities. It’s the time to concentrate on the basis or course of action of India's foreign policy. It is rooted in Panchsheel, realism and following and preservation of national interest.

Now the question is whether the Indian foreign policy has ever been pragmatic. Whether it’s the issue of Kashmir, border disputes with China, Bangladesh or even Myanmar, India has always been on the defensive and the same attitude has become the trademark of Indian foreign policy. Do you think that carefully nourished and brought up cat can turn into a tiger overnight? Perhaps Rome can’t be built in a day!

There have been several irreparable follies on the part of Indian foreign policy (conducted under the governments in succession) and one of these is the colossal failure to take advantage of presence of people of Indian origin across the globe. Little do Indians, unlike their governments know, that no less than 20 million people of Indian origin live and do work in Asia and abroad and no sensible government can ever disregard this huge contingent. Such tomfooleries or crazinesses can be made by India only. This is just a tip of iceberg and there are lots.

the foreign policies of india are pretty weak due to weak backbone supporting the policies. they are made with low research work and not many thoughts are given to its practical use. though india is fast growing and making its mark globally, it needs stronger foreign policies to protect its people across the globe.
 
Indian foreign policies are more like saving of their skin rather than making of a mark. The policies that are drafted are strategically weak and it does not even hold enough mass support. The policies that have been designed so far are having much loop holes, which can surely leave lot of room for other nations to play and secondly these designing authorities are more concerned about the benefits at the outer crust than developing a deep concrete effect.
 
There is no doubt that the foreign policies of India are having weaker platform. These policies do not provide a balance between the internal situation of India and its international image. Either the policy supports international aspects or it completely stops the process. This is somehow creating much of a problem than development. This ways definitely India is having more foreign clients coming in but then this is seizing the assets of India.

our foreign minister Mr. S.M. Krishna is a wise man and he has made several required changes in our foreign policies and external affairs.
we currently have friendly relations with almost all of the world, with the exception of Pakistan.
India's emergent financial system, responsive foreign policy, premeditated location and outsized and vivacious Diaspora has won it more cronies than foes.
 
the foreign policies are not designed by experienced and well learned candidates in india. and this is the major reason for senile and weaker foreign policies. i think indian government must appoint some highly learned officials to design policies by conducting thorough research.
 
indian foreign policies seem to have been designed hastily without giving it a thought of practical run. the policies are not efficient and not completely foolproof. many industrialist of foreign national cheat india because of weak foreign policies. cant the indian government choose some right learned candidates to make these policies?

Ever since independence India has maintained good relations with all countries. India has always been a strong believer of peace. India has always tried to sort our problems and differences through talks and not by using force. Trying to solve problems India has always been backstabbed by its allies. There is nothing new in the fact that India, trying to be good has paid the price every time when the allies have backstabbed them. Starting with China in 1962 when they backstabbed India after signing the Pancheel treaty in 1952. Invasions, through the Arunachal Pradesh border area is an ongoing process. Pakistan is a usual conflict for India since 1948, 1965, 1971 and off late in the Kargil war in 1999. They are never tired of making such invasions and being pushed back every time.

The Indian Army is resilient by force not by choice and that is only because of the fact that the Indian government does not support war that may lead to loss of a huge number of innocent lives. India was also attacked by the LTTE and Sri Lanka in 1989-1990 when our former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi lost his life trying to restore peace and harmony at Ravan’s den. The UPA government is in a lot of doubt about whether to accept America’s proposal of the Nuclear Deal and get their support in future or take the harder way out and choose for economic growth. India elected to choose the harder way out and go through the obstacles rather than taking the easier way out. India is in turmoil between whether to choose the new allies or to stay with the older allies with whom India has already had a bitter experience.

India is stuck between USA {UNITED STATES OF AMERICA} and China. Ultimately whatever may happen either USA or China will benefit, there will be nothing in it for India. At the end of the day it will be a balancing game of variables between America and china which will ultimately sum up to zero for India.
 
in my view indian foreign policies are little weaker compared to policies of nations like USA. the reason for this being that we do not employ skilled and experts to design the policies for us. we need very strong policies for our country because our country is a large democratic nation with numerous laws. the policies must be designed in accordance with our laws by studying them thoroughly.
 
Would being shy with latest found friends estrange trusted allies? It is a tough nut to crack. It is a dilemma that the UPA govt at the center confront nowadays. As the Prime Minister as well as the left stays adamant on the versions of their of the Indo US nuke deal. Its an important question that has great significance. There is one thing that is clearly apparent is the united states is awed with the duo digit enhanced figures, incluence of the China in south East Asia as well as military might and wishes to counter that by firing bullet from the nation’s shoulders as it notices Pakistan as spent forces in the region. An equation complementary indeed its variables.
 
The foreign policies of India need to be revived and made stronger because due to these existing weak foreign policies, India is loosing its fame and recognition internationally. To one extent is also responsible for weakening of Indian rupee in International markets which in-turn has caused price rise in India.
