Government modifies Sec 66(A) of IT Act

After the recent arrest of the two girls for a post about Balasaheb Thackery, the Government modified section 66(A) of the Information Technology Act according to which No less than a police officer of a rank of DCP will be allowed to permit registration of a case under provisions of the Information Technlogy Act that deals with spreading hatred through electronic messages, following uproar over recent arrests under the controversial law. What are your views regarding the modification of section 66 A of IT Act?
 
The modification of section 66A of the IT Act was needed and this is quite appreciable on the part of Government. However, the laws of the land need to be properly implemented and interpreted or else these amendments will be of no use if it is not interpreted properly. Moreover, this modification should be strictly followed and properly applied.
