Dhanbad is one of the fast growing cities of India and is the District Headquarters of Dhanbad District in Jharkhand. The city is visited by people from all over the World for being one of the major coal mining cities of India and is also known as "the coal capital of India". The city houses some of the major coal mining companies of India and this makes it a popular destination. I've been to Dhanbad twice to meet my brother (who is studying M.Sc at Indian School of Mines). I spend there for about a week. For the first time, I've done a booking at Dhanbad Hotel for accommodation with Skylark (bit costly but worth spending) and second time, I stayed at Black Rock (a nice budget hotel).
