How did Islam and Hinduism manage to coexsist in India?

Indian history is the biggest proof for hindu and islamic friendship... now, that the followers of both the religions just don't seem to respect each other's sentiments, I wonder how could they be so harmonised for long in India?:confused:
 
A misconception

India was divided as a state with varied regions it was until, the Bitish colonaliisation that Indians came up as one nation to fight them out. Else the differences exsisted even @ that time....:(

I Truly accept with you brother. People of India should be thankfull to the British and the Moughals, who brought everything together. If the british did not rule us then we would be still busy fighting among ourselves.
 
Tiger, Nobody did Anything for India, whatever they did, they did it for their own good,. there were NO intentions of welfare of India, so NO we are NOt tahnkful to Mohguls or Angrez for making things right for us. We surely are thankful to those patriots who lost their lives for getting us Independence.

Tell me my dear friend, why did the patriots of our country take ages to fight back? They knew that this was their land. Some outsiders were rulling our country. Why so long mate?
Why did they let Mughals rule for 700 years and the British for 200 years?
 
coexisting of humans is not a big deal as we are part of this world. though both have different religious views, there is a common goodness lying in them. and this has been keeping them together. though there are some clashes, there is lot of friendliness existing amongst both the groups. forgiveness is another tool which is important for long lasting bonding.
