The Indian society is one of the oldest in the world. It is well known for its various diversities. Its heritage has no ending. Going back to the past the Indian society started long back during the Indus Valley Civilization. It has come a long way from then to what it is now in India. Though the country has been under the English rule for about two centuries the Indian society has not lost its heritage and flavor. After independence the country has made progress and similarly the society has changed with time. Nothing is permanent, everything is bound to change and so has the Indian society got to change. Though India is not as modernized as the western countries it is not backward either. India accounts for a huge number of doctors and scientists in the world today. It has the third largest army in the world and the largest film industry.
Even after so much progress some things are still the same in India. People still believe in child marriage, they still believe in black magic and all sorts of irrelevant stories. These things should certainly change otherwise the Indian society will never be able to progress further. Without proper changes in the Indian society India can never be a developed country. On one side we have the well established cites and metros where as on the other hand we have the villages. In some villages there is no electricity even in the 21st century. Conditions are even worse in the villages for the farmers if the monsoons don’t arrive in time. Due to various differences the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. The Indian society must adapt to the changes with time and move ahead in life. Change is good and change is important for the Indian society for its betterment. I believe Indian society needs change.
