Indian Card Rupay like Mastercard and Visa coming

An Indian answer to global real time payment processing firms like visa mastercard is in the planning. Its being named as Rupay. The National Payment commission after a long process of deliberation has finalised this card and it will be a one of its kind India card. Do you think it will be commercially viable scheme and will be received well by the masses ??

well it depends because we indians are not much used to this plastic money thing. many of the indians living in the remote parts dont even know what a mastercard or visa card is.. so it would take time for us to accustom to the new schemes. nevertheless the scheme is a sign of good development and global projection.
