Indian legal system problems and challenges

Indian Judicial system is the interpreter of laws made by the legislature and provides judgments on the basis of these laws. However, the judiciary must act independently without any pressure. The main problem that the Indian judicial system has is the delay in in the disposal of cases which leads to accumulation of more and more case and this results in further delay. The legal procedure is so lengthy that it cannot dispose of a case early. Moreover, the management of the Courts should be modernized. Another challenge that is faced by the Indian legal system is the lack of judges. These problems and challenges can be Lok Adalats should be organized frequently to solve matters which can be solved by merely giving compensation. Alternative dispute resolution methods should be adopted. There are several other problems and challenges of Indian legal system. Indian judicial system has been facing many problems and challenges in providing justice to the people. The major problem is the proceeding are lengthy and this delays the disposal of cases. The other problems are lack of efficiency in proper interpretation as well as implementation of laws. Moreover it is not able to attract the best talent due to lack of income. The division of responsibilities is not proper and this is leading to over-burden which is faced by Supreme Court. There are many other challenges and problems faced by the Indian legal system.
