Is Delhi a capital of Crime??

Delhi is the capital city of India, but the laws and orders aren’t the best around the world. It s considered as the crime capital of India due to many reasons and one of the main reason that comes up is the night life of Delhi and the lose security of the capital city. Though it is known as the capital of India but still there are many flaws in the security. People cannot go out at night especially women as they are afraid of being kidnapped, raped and murdered. Delhi is not at all safe for women and people who have come to study here.

Recently 2 girls were raped and murdered in Delhi and these incidents are becoming a common phenomenon day by day. Murder of children around 2 decades back also happened and its becoming common. What do you think about the security of Delhi?
 
Delhi popularly known as heart of India, but it is sad to tell that it is one of the biggest criminal zone and morally very low. Not only Delhi almost whole of North India faces the same problem. The biggest reason is the illiteracy, and unemployment. Comparatively, South-India is much more safer. Even though Delhi is always on high alerts and security personnel are also there, but they cannot cover every street of Delhi.

I think security issues in Delhi were always the limelight of Delhi and pave way to different criminal issues such as murder, rape, kidnapping and loot. You cannot blame anyone person for this in fact the whole corrupted system of Delhi is responsible for this. The political leaders pay attention when something happens and they find themselves accountable to the issue but after that everything wipes off from their mind once the issue goes down. So i guess its the responsibility of the political leaders and Delhi govt to ensure the strict rules and security for the girls and old women.

Exactly. Not only Govt, but people should also realize about the fact. Normally, many people ignore the issues, especially related to crime. But they need to come up and protest against corruption or crimes. Media is such a powerful thing in India. Media should also come up-front with crime issues.
 
@livelyfire: You talking about media to solve this issue? Why would they? Media these days is showing the most irresponsible behavior towards the citizen of nation. They are more interested in cooking their breads rather than paying any heed to the needs and the issues concern to the nation and its people. Crime is increasing day by day and apart from giving the ideas how to remove they are busy in show casing the bollywood hits and flops.

Yeah you are right. Most of the news are about movies, cricket, and issues which are not at all important. But only media is the power which can change this in a click. Hope that our media person take some responsibility.
 
@livelyfire: Media will not understand this thing unless they realize what they are doing, and I guess media person realizes this thing but they are unable to speak anything as they are more concerned about their job and everyone loves their job no matter what. High authority media person should take some steps and then show or telecast such issues with major feedback of the common people so that it reaches to the government and something good happens for the city.
 
Not only Delhi but almost every metropolitan city is a place of crime but yes, of course Delhi top the charts! This city is well known for the crime and it happens almost daily. You will hear one or the other crime report on news channels and in news papers about Delhi as this place is not at all safe for girls. Women cannot walk on the road alone after 8 pm as its not safe. Being a capital city this place has less or no security arrangements for girls.
 
@sweetangel Sorry for copying your style. :D Even media person are under the threat. They are always under the influence of some political parties. So, even if a media person tries to break the shackles, he/she not allowed to. There should be a redesigning of media, so that it is under the influence of public and not media. Also we must watch only those news channel which offers some intellectual news. TRP should be based on news and not on drama.
 
@Livelyfire: lol, Yes, I do agree from you that the TRP's should be based on the worth watching news and not just any serial based drama. It is a need of today's media to show the exact thing happening in the country as then only government would be able to do something after the mass agitation. News provoke our senses and move our decision about any issue so it becomes important that media should show some responsibility and must telecast only worthy news. And yes, It is mostly influenced by the political parties.
 
Delhi is a capital of crime and which country or city is left untouched from this? People are becoming selfish day by day and to fulfill their mere grievances they have to follow the wrong path which in turn is called a crime. Crime can be of different types and many people do it out of need. So it is not fair to say that only Delhi is the capital of crime, but yes, the criminal activities are quite high at this place.
 
As a capital,Delhi has very lose security.The centre is putting very less efforts in this sector.Crime cases in delhi are increasing day by day.The girls in Delhi fear to step out of their houses.It is very sad for us Indians to see our capital with such a lose security system.But with the coming of the media people are getting to know the roots of these crimes and the Police of our country should do something to make its citizenz safe.

As the cost of living is quite high in Delhi, most people cannot afford it with their minimal earnings and this forces them to commit crimes. Moreover, there are security issues in the Capital and this leads to many crimes in the city.

The crime was unusually daring for Delhi, in that it takes place in a well-off area full of security guards in broad daylight, leading some city residents to wonder whether the city was seeing the start of a new wave of more violent crime.In fact, even before it takes place, reporters were already asking whether the city had become India’s “crime capital.” In the past Delhi has been labeled many times over the country’s rape capital.
