Is Indian Media going the right way?

Recently in the last decade especially there has been an upsurge of Indian Media in our society and it has increased awareness among people on various issues. Nowadays, many News channels are spending their prime time on discussing issues like Bollywood and the wedding or even a speculation of any affair of any celebrity or XYZ person. Do we need this Page3 type of coverage by the media or Do we have many more important things going around us which need to be shown light by the media?

I agree that there are more important things to be brought into light but then manytimes media uses such news to earn fame. Because of media the issues on Indians in australia increased. Mammohan singh himself said that media affected this critical issue. Media should make deep study and see each and every prospects. I dont say Media is over all bad. Media has been a great help during earthquakes and floods. I appreciate them truely for their work at such crisis.
 
I do not think that media is doing its things well and in a porper way.. there are many flaws that Indian Media has made so far.. May it be mumbai issue or any ither terror attack coverage.. there are some limitations that media must follow..
 
Talking about indian media then its the worst part that its playing in keeping peace inside the country.. they are making money and more money in place of joining their themselves are creating barriers among people ,,.
 
Indian media copies the west

In America they had Dance America Dance now we have dance India dance, they had American Idol & we have indian idol.In every field We Indians are very good at copying.
Stop it dude, We need some patriotism. Respect is the key to that. Respect every Indian irrespective of caste or religion or kind of job one does.
Stop excelling in their books write your own one. Stop buying their patents please the farmers are committing suicide because of it.
Stop copying their ideas, make your own one

Not all the media are going the right way. Most of them concentrate on their TRPs by showing spicy news. But one can think that instead of showing those useless things they can show some useful things and get good name. this will also make them responsible media in our country.

Indian channels today have lost direction. The meaning of news has changed and it has taken more a form of entertainment. Where the information’s are broadcasted with more spices and flavor. It is a game of TRP rating, where people do anything to get the eyeballs. It is all about how to earn money. Its purpose of educating people with truth has vanished, and what we have on our television screens are merely misusage of power and responsibility.
 
as per the facts known until now about the indian media it is straying away from the path of being truthful and loyal to the indian public just as the politics is. Media has long been wanted by the indian people to address their grievance to the government and people seek its help to remove the masks of corrupted people in the country. if it continues to be manipulative and influenced, there would be none trusting the media anymore.
 
indian media has developed a lot indeed but it is not going completely in a right way it should. media does cover some serious issues at times but there are lot more issues which need serious attention of nation as well as the indian government. indian media has strayed from the path of leading the nation with important things to broadcasting unimportant things
 
Is media going teh right way?? I guess it is not. the direction has lost somewhere. What is the responsibility of indian media nd what all should be telecasted has been forgotten by the indian reporters and the news channels. they only show what people want to see, they have no interest in showing the social problems of india as if they will show they have to answer several authorities in the center government and chances are there that their channels will face lock. all are busy in making their money, they have forgotten the values and the reality of actual media. They do not have that much of courage to face the truth. I guess the direction has literally lost!
 
Well today’s media working depending upon viewers. It’s not the same media before; things have changed a lot, like competitions, commercial business etc.
Actually the need of page 3 is because many viewers are interested for some relaxing programs at that time
Some feel to know what’s happening in world at prime timings while some feel they need some relaxation after their hurry life
 
well, with issues coming up with many TV channels i do not thing media is going anywhere in the right direction because we are a country of ethics and traditions and media is bent on spoiling our ethics by showing questionable content on television. i think censor authorities should wake up and act responsible towards the nation. So are the media channels who show news barely to make TRPs.
 
I don't think that Indian Media is going in the right way. Infact Indian media has lost its track and they have becoming more inclined to making money rather than working for the welfare of the society. Media is considered as the mirror of the society but if the mirror shows distorted images of the society, they how will the society progress? Thus media needs to understand their responsibilities and work for the betterment of the nation.
