Jamshepur is among the planned industrial cities of India, situated in the East Singhbhum District of Jharkhand. The city is more popularly known as the "Steel City" as it houses the largest steel industry of the country. The city got its name from the founder of the steel industry Jamshedji Nusserwanji Tata. The city is enclosed by the Dalma Hills and the rivers Subarnarekha and Kharkai and also has the famous Tata Football Academy. Tata Steel Zoological Park, Dalma Hills, Hudco Lake, and Pardih Kali Mandir are the prominent attractions of this place. Jamshedpur is the most developed city of Jharkhand and is a popular tourist place for the largest steel industry.
