Kalikho Pul , Arunachal Pradesh Minister for Finance and Planning today created a stir in New Delhi when Kalikho cautioned the government of India against a “Kargil-like situation” in the Indian State of Arunachal Pradesh.

“China claims its rights over Arunachal Pradesh that shares a 1,806-km border in the north,” Pul is learnt to have told Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia during a discussion on the state plan.

According to Kalikho Pul, the Chinese wrote on rocks in Indian State of Arunachal Pradesh in an apparent attempt to mark regions in the state as their own. Pul and Arunachal Chief Minister Jarbom Gamlin were in Delhi today to finalize the state plan for 2011-12.

When contacted, a senior government functionary told The Indian Express it was true that China was carrying out huge infrastructure development projects on the other side of the border. “But then, the geography on the other side comprises the Tibetan plateau, making it easier for construction,” the functionary said.

Arunanchal Pradesh is the most sensitive state of the country after Jammu and Kashmir. China is persuading aggressive policy and perhaps more formidable enemy of the country. All time border dispute and another add on last year's staple visa dispute will only deteriorated the bilateral relation. There is lot of negotiation, bilateral talks and mediation is required to sort out the issues.

arunachal pradesh is slowly coming into limelight for the issues popping up which are being created by the china at the border. we should not allow arunachal to get a tag like kashmir but rather save it at the earliest from being taken over by chinese. india should keep an eye on movements of the chinese and always be prepared to prevent any infiltration or breach of border line.

Arunachal pradesh being situated in the east corner of India is always neglected which is reason why it remains under developed. India needs to be aware of Chinese activities because they are spreading their wings almost all over Indian borders. They have started to extend their bases in Sri Lanka and Pakistan too. And seeking Arunachal pradesh into their territory could mean an alarming situation that may be created in near future.
