Kathgodam is a town located on the foothills of Kumaon Range of the Himalayas in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand. It is situated on the banks of the Gaula River in the Bhabhar region at an altitude of 554 metres above the sea level. The place is famous as it is the gateway to the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand and offers a great picturesque to the tourist. The famous attractions of the town are the Sheetla Devi Temple and Kalichaud Temple. Although the place can be visited all throughout the year, the beat time is during the months of October, November, February and March.
