Kurnool district is situated in the southern banks of rivers Handri and Tungabhadra in the State of Andhra Pradesh. It is the largest district of the state and was once upon a time the capital of the State. Kunnor is a heritage destination as it features some of the historical monuments, which provides the rich history of the place. Car festival of Kurnool is the most famous festivals of the place and this attracts a lot of tourists from all over the World. The Nagareswarasawami, Iswaraswami, Venugoplaswami and Peta Anjaneyaswami are the famous tourists spots of the place. Apart from the temples, Kurnool also houses Gundla Brahmeswaram Wildlife Sanctuary, which attracts a lots of tourist from every part.
