Lansdowne is a small Hill Station in the Garhwal district of Uttaranchal and is popular for its landscape. It is situated at a height of 1706 m above sea level and is popular for its pleasant climate all throughout the year. Lansdowne is named after Lord Lansdowne, a British Viceroy of India. The place became quite popular during the British Reign and is one a popular Hill Station of North India. The place if famous for its tranquil and peaceful environment and the oak trees and blue pines adds more beauty to the land.
