Lilabari is a small town located in the district of North Lakhimpur in the State of Assam. The town is exceedingly beautiful and offers an amazing view of the Great Himalayas and the Mighty river Brahmaputra flowing by the town enhances the beauty of the place. The town has rich historical background as it was ruled by Baro Bhuyans, the Chutiya and the Ahoms. The town is also the commercial center of the North-east as it is a border town of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. The town is the Gateway to the Tawang, Bomdilla and some other districts of Arunachal Pradesh. The place is also well known for Tibetan worship place. The town is also known for the Namdapha National Park which is in Changlang District of Arunachal Pradesh, which is an adobe of some rare species of cats like the snow leopard, clouded leopard and leopard and also is the home of wild animals like elephants, gaur, musk deer, red panda and Himalayan black bear.
